Maharishi Mahesh Yogi
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, 12 January 1918 was known for developing and popularizing Transcendental Meditation (TM) and for being the leader of the worldwide organization that has been characterized in multiple ways.
He became known as Maharishi meaning "great seer" and Yogi as an adult After earning a degree in physics at Allahabad University in 1942, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi became an assistant and disciple of Swami Brahmananda Saraswati (also known as Guru Dev), the Shankaracharya (spiritual leader) of the Jyotir Math in the Indian Himalayas. The Maharishi credits Brahmananda Saraswati with inspiring his teachings. In 1955, the Maharishi began to introduce his Transcendental Deep Meditation (later renamed Transcendental Meditation) to India and the world. His first global tour began in 1958 His devotees referred to him as His Holiness and because he laughed more frequently in early TV interviews, he was sometimes referred to as the "giggling guru

The SPIRITUAL REGENERATION MOVEMENT FOUNDATION OF INDIA is a movement to develop His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi the world peace and progress through the holistic approach of Transcendental Meditation .It is for everyone in all walks of life .
His Holiness Maharishi Mahesh Yogi has developed and promoted a simple technique of Transcendental Meditation in which everyone can easily discover the deeper levels of consciousness and mind
The Main aim of this world wide movement is to raise individual consciousness to the level of cosmic consciousness by infusing Maharishi simple system of Transcendental Meditation in the daily routine of each individual so that one becomes a useful Citizen of the human world.
The biggest contribution of the Mahrashi Mahesh Yogi ji is that he collected, articulated and theorize complete science of consciousness, which is controlled and guided by sensory process of central Nervous System, also presented the precious knowledge to masses at their own intellect.
BRIEF NOTE
SRM FOUNDATION OF INDIA SOCIETY
In the year 1963 his holiness Maharshi Mahesh Yogi in order to propagate transcendental meditation and yoga around the globe registered a society called 'The Spiritual Regeneration Movement Foundation of India' in year 1963 at Delhi. That the SRM Foundation Of India Society since then is spreading the system of transcendental meditation, developing spiritual, mental and physical health of the people of the society at large.
Afterwards in year 1989 his holiness Maharshi ii left India to established a ashram in Holland to preach Indian philosophy and vedic principal in western countries. Spiritual Regeneration Movement Foundation of India Society is situated in Union Territory of Delhi having its original office at New Rajendra Nagar, New Delhi. The society registered under Society Registration Act, 1860 having its registration number S — 2366 / 1963 — 64.
The society's board of management shall consist of 12 members, i.e. the president, two vice president, one secretary, one treasurer and 7 members. The first president, vice president, secretary and treasurer of the first board were chosen by the founder and the subsequent member of the board of management are chosen by the jurisdiction council and the election / re-election is required every year.

Consequently all other disciples of Maharshi in India including the present members of the society revolted against the mismanagement and non-functioning of the society and thereby in the year 2010 the disciples lead by then president Late Pt. L. N. Sharma associated with Maharshi ji contested society election after the gap of 20 years and submitted the list of board management to the Registrar of Society following the legal formalities. Shri G. R. Chandramohan was duly elected as treasurer in the board of management of society SRM foundation of India vide election meeting held on 06.05.2011 at +244, Naraina Vihar, New Delhi. Shri G. R. Chandramohan was also member of the board for the year 2010 prior to his re-election in 2011.

The main purpose and objective of establishment of “SPIRITUAL REGENERATION MOVEMENT FOUNDATION OF INDIA” is to enlighten all people through the various following programmes of welfare for the national interest.
- To establish “Maharishi Ved Vigyan Vidya Peeth , conducting Scientific research on Veda Mantras
- To establish “Transcendental Meditation, Sidhi and Yoga Centre”.
- To establish “Maharishi Jyotish and Research Centre”. There will be training of Vedic astrologers who will guide the people of society in right direction to avert the danger which has not yet come.
- To establish “Maharishi Yagya Anusthan and Research Center”. There will be Yagya performance by Vedic Pandits on the level of pure consciousness to neutralize the negative influences of planets and to maximize happiness in life.
- To establish “Maharishi Professional Training Centre”. There ill be training for the younger generation to build their professional career through Vedic Science courses, Modern science, art, commerce, engineering, law, management etc.
